Thanks to the National Trust's fabulous 50 Things to do before you're 11 3/4 list , there's plenty of reasons to get outdoors with the children this Easter.
Have a fun-filled holiday and we look forward to hearing all about everyone's adventures on our return Tuesday 23 April.
We serve a snack at the start of each RKC afternoon session and then a light tea for those children staying until 6pm. Don't let your child miss out - we have had some great feedback from the children!
Our new Wii has been a big hit and we are enjoying watching some very entertaining dancing. The children have loved the variety of sports games - a great option for the colder dark evenings!
Next week in Rainbow Kids Club we have planned some exciting activities, we will also be continuing a few from last week. These include;
-Can you make it float? Building rafts to see if the pennies will float or sink? ⛵️💰
-How tall can it go? Using balloons to build a sky scraper. 🎈
-Dot pattern painting, also known as pointillsm. Using cotton buds and paint to create a pattern. 🎨
- Foam dough making and our Rainbow Kids Club values. 🌈
We look forward to an exciting week!

We will be
* creating fireworks pictures using different methods of painting such as blow painting and fork painting to achieve different results.
* looking at different Rangoli patterns and creating our own versions of these using coloured salt.
* drawing our own henna hand art.
We are also very lucky to have a visitor coming in on Wednesday to show us her traditional Diwali dress and tell us all about this beautiful festival.
Children who attend on a Monday are asked if they can please bring a pair of gloves as we will be going outside to use sparklers. Please note, children who do not have gloves will not be able to participate.
